Sit, down, wait and come are the most important dog obedience commands you can teach your dog. If your dog runs off into danger and responds to the “down” command it could save his life. “Come” may be the worst thing you could shout as most dogs when running will usually turn I a wide arc to return to you and this could be straight into the danger.
